States yet to legalize gambling

States such as Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Alabama have taken steps toward legalizing gambling by introducing new bills and proposals, though none have passed yet. For example, Nebraska introduced LB13 in July 25 2024, which would allow the state’s racetracks, or racinos, to offer online sports betting. At the other end of the spectrum, it’s highly unlikely that Utah or Texas would legalize gambling owing to strong political opposition in the states. Similarly, Idaho, Alaska, and South Carolina have seen little movement towards legislation in recent years.
